Anushka is a yoga teacher from Bangalore. This long legged beauty with a svelte figure shot to fame in Tollywood- thanks to her good looks coupled with some luck. She was lucky to be cast with some top heroes in a short span of time.

Many say that she used her contacts as a yoga teacher to Naga Chaitanya to get into the good books of hero Nagarjuna. With his recommendations, she started getting offers in Tollywood.

Anushka now hardly has any big films except Chintakayala Ravi with Venkatesh. Anushka is now doing a film with her Lakshyam hero Gopichand. The rumors doing the rounds in Tollywood is that she has two mentors in Tollywood, Nagarjuna and Gopichand. As long as these two show an interest in her, her career will keep going. After that, it is anybody's guess.

Shriya getting new power with yoga

Shriya Saran is in raptures these days. Reason? The versatile actress has been experiencing bliss by closing her eyes and blocking all unwanted thoughts. In short, the actress is into yoga. In fact, she was in Coimbatore recently to attend a workshop on yoga and meditation. “I’m into yoga and am learning it professionally. I heard about this workshop by a famous guru in Coimbatore and decided to attend the programme,” says an exuberant Shriya. So, how was the experience? “It was wonderful. I was staying with many others in a camp and that too, in the middle of a jungle. I used to wake up early in the morning and practise all forms of asanas,” she says. According to the pretty lass, yoga and meditation keep her going. “Yoga keeps my mind fresh, and pumps the muchneeded energy into me. It also helps me relieve tension,” she says. The knowledge she gained from the workshop, we are sure, will come in handy for this pretty lass, who has her kitty full in Kollywood.

Of late there's an influx of beauties in Tollywood who’ve got college in mind. The latest is Kolkata girl Madhurima who spends two hours every night studying, as she wants to graduate with good marks. The model-turned actress began her film career in Bollywood and has now gravitated to Telugu cinema. However she clarifies she would not “want to restrict” herself to Tollywood or Bollywood, and would like to try Bengali films. “Language, co-stars and banners are not my criteria for choosing a movie. A good story with a meaningful role is what I am looking for,” she emphasises. Continuing in the same breath, she says, “Item songs, special appearances and run-of-the-mill films are not my cup of tea.”That's a tall order indeed in tinsel town.

No Hollywood stars for Kambakkht Ishq premiere

The Hollywood superstars Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh will not be present in the grand premiere of Kambakkht Ishq.

The makers of the film had planned to bring the Hollywood actors to Mumbai for the premiere, but the date of the premiere was delayed because of producers’ multiplexes strike. Hence, the dates locked by the actors for the beginning of June were changed.

However with the presence of big stars like Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, the premiere is still hoped to be a big event.

Tanushree-Celina clash

There's a lot of talking going around as to who replaced whom as heroine in 'Run Bhola Run'. Celina Jaitley replaced Tanushree Dutta but Celina said nothing of that sort happened.

"Tanushree was supposed to do the role that Amisha Patel has finally done. She was cast opposite Govinda," said Celina.
But Amisha denies this. "I haven't replaced anyone. I've been working on the film from day one. Celina has replaced Tanushree," she said.
Tanushree supports this statement. "I was supposed to be doing the role opposite Tusshar Kapoor that Celina is now doing. I had to opt out because the film got delayed and I had other commitments, which I couldn't wriggle out of. Although she isn't paired with Govinda, the character I was supposed to do has a lot of scenes with Govinda," said Tanushree.
"Celina was a natural choice because she's doing other films with Govinda and their dates were easier to synchronize than mine and Govinda's. I'd have loved to work with Govinda. Sadly, they faced a lot of hiccups in their schedules earlier. Once I opted out, the film was completed smoothly. My bad luck," she added.
"Fortunately, there was no bad blood because of this 'Run Bhola Run' incident. But like I said, I was replaced by Celina. Amisha was always in the project," Tanushree said.
