Affiliate Marketing Is a Great Alternative to a J-O-B
There are a lot of ways to make money outside of a traditional job these days, but focusing on earning cash online is one of the best options that you have. Being able to work at home or from a coffee shop or from wherever you want offers a lot of advantages. You will have a lot of flexibility about when and where you work, and you can always make free time by doing your work when it doesn't interfere with anything else. One of the best methods you can employ to make money online and work with freedom is by participating in affiliate marketing. Essentially you will become an advertiser who works to spread links to a product, and whenever someone follows your link and purchases that product you get paid. You aren't limited to being an affiliate with just one product, as you can promote and spread affiliate links for as many products as you want.
One of the biggest problems you are going to have to solve with affiliate marketing is how to convert your visitors into paying customers. This can be difficult as people online tend to be a little distrustful, and tend to be very fickle with where they spend their money. For example, if you are an affiliate for a popular product than there is a good chance that you are not going to be the only person promoting this product. If the product is popular, than there are probably a lot of different people selling it, which means that you have a lot of different competition. Just because someone might hear about a product from you the first time that they hear about it, that doesn't mean that they are going to buy it from you. There's a good chance that they will see the information you posted on it, then navigate away and maybe buy it somewhere else.
A good way to get around this is to build a certain amount of loyalty with your clients, and to make them associate coming to your website with buying things. People treat websites very differently when they consider themselves to be a client of the website and not just a visitor, and all it takes is one sale to make them a client.
Sometimes it can be tough to get that first sale though, and that's why it's a good idea to build a website that is helpful, interesting, valuable and engaging in a lot of different ways. If you just make a website that does nothing more than push sales links than people aren't going to trust you. But if they end up spending a half hour to an hour a week (or a day!) on your site, then it's going to feel very familiar and comfortable to them, and that feeling is going to make them feel a lot more apt to buy whatever you are selling.
And when someone buys to you, make note of who they are. Put them on a separate "buyers list." You've now identified someone who is willing and able to purchase from you, and who now considers themselves to be (at least in some part) a customer of yours. These are the leads you want to work on developing and keeping and growing, as these are the people who will be most likely to purchase from you when you make one of your affiliate offers directly to them.
